You Won't Believe What People Think Dharma Is!
by HICHEE
9 months, Nepal In a recent poll exploring the concept of dharma and how to incorporate it into daily life, opinions were mixed and intriguing. Sixteen percent of respondents believe dharma is about a "Righteous duty that upholds cosmic order." This definition topped the poll results, but not without some competition.
Close behind, 15% of people feel living morally—through truth, non-violence, and compassion—is key. Meanwhile, 14% think selfless service, helping others without seeking rewards, is vital. Another 14% are convinced that honest actions and integrity in all life aspects define dharma.
Spiritual practices like prayer, meditation, and pursuing wisdom also garnered 14% support, along with fulfilling family and social duties righteously. Devotion to God, surrendering to divine will with faith, matched these numbers at 14%.
In an amusing twist, someone's vote might have been counted twice — human error strikes again! Despite this, the results highlight diverse approaches to infusing dharma into daily existence.
