Valentine's Day is always a hot topic. A recent poll aimed to capture the nation’s feelings about February 14th, and the results might surprise you.

With 38%, the leading sentiment was "Flirty and Romantic." People still love the idea of roses and chocolates. But not everyone is feeling the love.

A surprising 22% admitted to "Showing some hate." This group is not thrilled about the romantic festivities. Close behind, 21% admitted they are "Disgusted and sick" of the holiday. Clearly, hearts and cupids are not for everyone.

Then, 19% are "Ready to fight everyone." It's unclear who they're fighting, but tensions run high for this bunch.

There's always room for human error in polling. Maybe some respondents clicked the wrong button, or perhaps someone might have misunderstood the question. Either way, the mixed emotions highlight just how polarizing Valentine's Day can be.

Whether you love it or hate it, one thing's for sure: Valentine's Day evokes strong feelings, no matter which way you slice it.
