Adulthood’s Hidden Struggles: Is Freedom Just a Myth?
by HICHEE
1 year, Nepal In a recent poll shedding light on the trials of adulthood, respondents revealed what truly weighs them down. The results painted a stark picture: adulthood might feel like freedom initially, but reality quickly sets in.
Leading the charge at 15% each, our readers confessed two major challenges: the inability to express pain due to societal pressure to remain "strong", and the struggle of making money yet never feeling secure.
Close behind, at 14%, participants shared the sense of endless responsibilities with little to no recognition, the lack of time for personal passions, and the feeling of being stuck while others move ahead.
An equal number (15%) reported working tirelessly yet feeling emotionally empty. Meanwhile, 13% felt crushed under the expectations of family and society.
These findings suggest that the journey to adulthood is fraught with silent battles and invisible burdens. Despite minor rounding errors, the message is clear: beneath the surface of adulthood’s freedoms lie struggles that often go unnoticed.
