The Shocking Truth: Why Mammals Don't Shrink and Insects Don't Grow!
by HICHEE
1 year, Nepal A recent poll has shed light on why we don't see tiny mammals or gigantic insects roaming our planet. The results are surprising and maybe a bit flawed due to human error. Let's break down the numbers.
A third of participants, 34%, believe breathing systems are to blame. Insects rely on simpler respiratory structures that can't support giant bodies.
Meanwhile, 26% think heat loss keeps mammals from shrinking. Small mammals would lose heat rapidly, challenging their survival.
Oxygen limits snagged 21% of the vote. The Earth's atmosphere restricts how large insects can grow, as they absorb oxygen directly through their exoskeletons.
Lastly, 20% say gravity is a major factor. Larger insects would struggle under their own weight, while smaller mammals might not function efficiently.
Though enlightening, poll errors may skew results. But one thing’s clear: nature has its reasons for sizing creatures just right!
